You see, I never had real Lego.
I just had a substitute copy probably made in Taiwan or China or somewhere other than Europe. They came in only a few rectangular flavours...but what I lose out in terms of flexibility, I gained back with sheer volume. I had tons of them. To me the shape of the building block was irrelevant. As long as I had enough blocks I could shape anything. Even a 'sphere'....lego-like sphere that is.
I bought real Lego for my kids. The big kind and the standard kind. I am NOT a fan of those sets that build into one or two types of 'cool stuff' like a place or a car.....I only like the standard fare. The true building blocks of Lego. The original blocks. Those are the stuff imaginations are made of.
I started coaching Keith and Josh to build planes, vehicles....of course they found it peculiar and difficult at first but with a bit of encouragement, their shapeless creations, I noticed, took shape as time went on. Ironic but true.
So this blog....What is it about? Its about chronicling....
The creations of Keith and Josh....and I immortalize them in drawing.
